1. Information We Collect

When you use Soul Forge VR on Meta Horizon / Meta Quest, we may receive and process the following categories of data from the Meta platform and from your in-app activity:

• Meta User ID — a platform-issued identifier used to recognize your account.
• User age group — provided by the Meta platform (for example, child, teen, or adult range).
• In-app purchase and downloadable content (DLC) purchase data — purchase entitlements and transaction status returned by the Meta platform necessary to deliver and restore content you have bought.
• Gameplay and account data you generate inside the App, such as progress, settings, avatar preferences, and multiplayer session data.
• Technical and diagnostic data, such as crash logs, performance metrics, and device/runtime information needed to keep the App stable and secure.

2. How We Use Meta Horizon User Data

We use Meta Horizon user data strictly to operate Soul Forge VR. Specifically:

• Account identification — using your Meta User ID to recognize your account across sessions and devices.
• Game progress — saving and restoring your progress, unlocks, and in-game preferences.
• Purchase fulfillment and restoration — validating, delivering, and restoring in-app purchases and DLC.
• Multiplayer — enabling matchmaking, social presence, and shared multiplayer experiences.
• Safety, security, and compliance — detecting abuse, preventing fraud and cheating, enforcing our Terms, and meeting legal obligations.
• Age-appropriate experience — using User age group to apply age-appropriate content, communication, and safety settings.

3. What We Do Not Do

Consistent with the Meta Horizon Developer Data Use Policy, we do not:

• Sell or rent Meta Horizon user data to any third party.
• Use Meta Horizon user data for advertising, ad targeting, or building advertising profiles.
• Use Meta Horizon user data to build user profiles for purposes unrelated to providing Soul Forge VR.
• Use Meta Horizon user data for discriminatory purposes, including decisions about housing, employment, insurance, education, credit, or government benefits.
• Use Meta Horizon user data for surveillance, including by or on behalf of governments or law enforcement, except when required by valid legal process.
• Transfer Meta Horizon user data to data brokers, information resellers, or any party for any of the prohibited purposes above.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Meta Horizon user data only for as long as needed to provide Soul Forge VR, fulfill and restore purchases, maintain safety and security, and meet legal or accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, or when you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal retention obligations.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@soulforgevr.com. We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming your Meta User ID) before fulfilling the request.

5. Children and Mixed-Age Audiences

Soul Forge VR is designed for a mixed-age audience. We use the User age group signal provided by the Meta platform solely to deliver an age-appropriate experience and to apply appropriate safety, communication, and content settings. We do not use age data for advertising or profiling, and we do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is necessary to operate the App.

6. Third Parties and Service Providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate Soul Forge VR. These providers act on our behalf, only process data under our instructions, and are contractually required to protect it. They may include:

• Meta Horizon platform services — account, entitlement, multiplayer, and store services required to run the App on Meta Quest.
• Hosting and backend / game services — to store game progress, run multiplayer infrastructure, and serve game content.
• Analytics and crash logging — to diagnose crashes, measure stability, and improve gameplay.
• Payment fulfillment — to validate and restore in-app purchases and DLC through the Meta platform.

We do not authorize these providers to use Meta Horizon user data for their own purposes, including advertising or profiling.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Meta Horizon user data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to promptly address vulnerabilities and incidents.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App or our website.
